Friday, June 6, Shavuot Holiday: Nitzanim Beach and Shavuot Harvest Festival in Kibutz Na'an
11:45 --- depart Jerusalem with an arranged minibus, from Beit Belgia, the Faculty Club on Campus
13:00 - 16:00 --- relax and swim in Nitzanim beach on the mediteranian (bring a swim suit, and casual wear for afterwards). It will be possible to buy a simple lunch in the beach bar (pizza, hot dogs etc.), and we will bring additional light food from home.
16:30 - 20:00 --- a visit to kibuts Na'an during the Shavuot harvest festival
21:00 --- back in Jerusalem

Saturday, June 7: Vocal Music Festival in Abu Gosh
11:15 --- depart Jerusalem by taxies or cars (on your own) to the big church at the top of the hill in the nearby village Abu Gosh
11:30 - 15:45 --- Vocal Music Festival. Main indoor concert at noon (Avishai has 9 tickets). Continuous outdoor concerts. Check www.agfestival.co.il
16:00 - 17:30 --- early dinner in Karavan, Abu Gosh (reserved, but not funded).

Sunday, June 8: A Reception at the IAS
19:00 --- a reception at the IAS, including a light dinner
19:30 --- welcome remarks by Prof. Beni Kedar, the Director of the IAS, followed by a lecture on Israel from the air 1918-2003

Tuesday, June 10: Conference Dinner in Nataf
18:15 --- Depart from the IAS (Campus pedestrian gate) by coach to Nataf, about 30min ride west of Jerusalem in the Judea Hills, for an outdoor dinner in Rama's Kitchen

Wednesday, June 11: Jerusalem Guided Tour
14:00 - 19:30 --- A guided tour in Jerusalem, focusing on major archeological sites. Including a panoramic view of the City of David from The Sherover Promnade, a visit to the archelogical site and the new museum near the Wailing Wall, and the Wall Tunnels. The first part will be sunny and warm -- bring a hat, sun glasses, and skin protection. Depart 14:00 from Beit Belgia. The tour is paid for by the IAS, except for the entrance fees to the museum and the tunnels, about 30 shekels, to be paid by the participants on location.

Friday, June 13: A Guided Tour
14:30 - 18:00 --- A private guided tour for liturgical music in the Armenian and Christian quarters of the Old City, ending with a visit to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre (at 17:00) for their traditional Friday afternoon festivity. Make your way to the Old City on your own (by foot, taxi or car), and meet the guide (Nehama Shafran) in Zion Gate. The guide fees to be paid by the participants (about 75 shekels per particpant).

Saturday, June 14: A Trip to Masada and the Dead Sea
08:30 --- Depart from Jerusalem, Bet Belgia and Neve Sha'anan 17:00 --- Return to Jerusalem. The trip is paid for by the IAS, except for meals and entrance fees.

Saturday, June 21: A Trip to the Galilee
