Fangzhou Jiang (姜方周)

I obtained my Ph.D. at Department of Astronomy, Yale University. Together with my thesis advisor, Prof. Frank van den Bosch, I have done systematic research on the assembly of dark matter halos and the statistical properties of halo substructure.

I am currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Racah Institute of Physics, Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Working with Prof. Avishai Dekel, I use a combination of hydrodynamical simulations and (semi-)analytic models, to study the formation and evolution of satellite galaxies. My research interest include galaxy formation, dark matter, and near-field cosmology.

Aside from astrophysics, I am quite into photography, cooking, collecting fountain pens, and Chinese literature (for which I have a blog of primarily metric poems and lyrics that I wrote)
